Red Parrot Coffee was founded by Mike and Debra Roycroft — a passionate duo with deep roots in hospitality.
In 2014, they brought their Australian-owned family business to Newcastle, later expanding into a state-of-the-art roasting facility in Islington. Mike, with 35 years in the industry, has sourced premium beans from around the world to be expertly roasted in-house — with mentorship from Q Grader and championship judge Craig Simons. With a team of champion baristas and roasters, Red Parrot now offers 23 artisan coffee blends, served proudly at the Parrot Espresso Bar. Debra’s experience in cafés and food brings the final touch to a full-flavoured, authentic coffee experience — both in-store and online.
